Technical Information
Elena Marina has over 24 years of experience in live events and her self contained show couldn’t make the booking procedure any easier.
She has an international rigging team that work with her, making aerial dance possible at any event. Together they have all the technical, Health and Safety knowledge required to rig and perform in technically challenging venues over water, from cranes or in buildings which are new to aerial.
Prior to the event Elena liaises with technical staff at the venue and within the events team to ensure a safe and effective performance. She can provide risk assessments and method statements upon request and site visits can be arranged where necessary.
Elena Marina supplies all show rigging and paging equipment necessary and she can also bring in a free-standing aerial rig where venue rigging is not available.
Elena Marina holds £10M public liability insurance through Equity. Her riggers also hold £10M public liability rigging insurance and are IRATA trained and qualified.
Technical Requirements
Technical requirements will differ according to which acts you wish to book however to give you an idea of what is required…
One Structural point per performer with a minimum of 500kg safe working load with access to the rigging point via ladder or scissor lift. A minimum of 4m height is required for silks however if the height is lower than 6.5m it needs to be mentioned beforehand. Aerial Hoop can be performed as low as 2.5m however needs to be mentioned beforehand too. Floor area under the performer to be a clear circle diameter 3m, roped off or stewarded to ensure no public access.
The Aerial Rig

No Stress! Elena has her own freestanding aerial rig...

This 7.5m high aerial rig is free-standing and can be set up on any level surface except gravel. It cannot be set up the rig on a hill or slope. Please mention in advance what kind of surface you'll be working on.
When the rig is up the footprint is a triangle, where each side of the triangle is 7m.
To set up, the rig requires 11m by 13m of ground space and 7.5m height clearance. Trees, park benches and other immovable items pose a problem.
On-site parking and access to performance site location required to unload.
Though portable, it is not possible to move the rig from pitch to pitch.
The client is responsible for supplying and erecting fencing and crowd control barriers if needed.
In the event of light rain, Elena has a “hat” for the rig which will help to keep the performers and equipment dry, enabling them to perform.
